This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is collected, and the choices you have. It applies to www.metroexpresspizza.com and is written to describe what the site actually does.
Metro Express serves pizza, strombolis, subs, wings, and more from our locations in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. Our website address is https://www.metroexpresspizza.com. If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold, contact your nearest location using the phone numbers listed on our Locations page.
This website does not take orders itself. When you click Order Online you are taken to our ordering service at metroexpress.weborder.net, which is operated for us by a separate provider and collects the information needed to prepare and deliver your order — such as your name, phone number, address, and payment details. That information is handled under the ordering service's own privacy practices.
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. This site uses two kinds.
These are required for the site to work and are set regardless of your choice. They include the cookie that records your cookie preferences (cookieyes-consent) so we do not have to ask you on every page.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are located. This sets cookies named _ga and _ga_JMDS9RVE19, and sends information including your IP address and browsing activity on this site to Google, which processes it on our behalf. You can read Google's explanation of how it handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics does not run until you allow it. The Google scripts are not loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless you choose to accept the analytics category in our cookie banner. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, nothing is requested from Google.
The first time you visit, a banner asks how you want to be treated. You may accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or open Customise to choose. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works normally either way.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking the small consent icon at the bottom left of any page, which reopens the preference panel. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you clear the consent cookie, the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each handles only what it needs to:
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version is always the one published on this page.
